BOSTON, July 13, 2009 -- National Financial®a Fidelity Investments® company, today announced it has significantly enhanced its Streetscape® brokerage workstation by integrating the wealth management capabilities of Thomson ONE to create a comprehensive, integrated offering. The enhanced solution will be available to National Financial's more than 300 broker/dealer firms and their brokers and advisors.

Streetscape now offers brokers its extensive account, trading and risk management capabilities along with the wealth and book management tools, investment planning resources, and real-time market data and research of Thomson ONE. By bringing together information and tools brokers need into a comprehensive solution, brokers may be better able to meet the increasingly sophisticated needs of their high-net-worth customers, the companies said.

"At a time when many firms are scaling back their technology investments, we have continued to move forward in an effort to provide our clients with the tools they need to drive cost-efficient growth," said Mark C. Healy, executive vice president, National Financial. "Now more than ever, a firm's workstation is critical for broker/dealers looking to attract and retain top producers. Our new offering supports this effort by providing brokers with the advanced functionality they need to help free up time and focus on attracting, developing and retaining high-net-worth customers."

"The combined strength of Streetscape's advanced transaction capabilities and Thomson ONE's sophisticated portfolio and book management tools truly creates a competitive advantage for broker/dealers and their brokers," said John Fennelly, global managing director of wealth management, Thomson Reuters. "Brokers will now be able to gain insight into their various investor portfolios, research and evaluate individual securities across multiple content sets and submit orders all from one workstation."

Thomson ONE is currently deployed to more than 100,000 advisor and broker desktops across the country. Thomson ONE contains leading applications and content from Thomson Reuters including market data, news, research, book management, and wealth planning and investment selection tools.

Enhanced Streetscape to Help Create Greater Efficiencies

The integrated offering, Streetscape & Thomson ONE, provides the tools brokers need to develop and execute strategies that may help their customers achieve their investment goals, including:
•Book Management: Provides tools to help brokers generate new investment opportunities, monitor portfolios with potential risks, and query and analyze holistic customer views, accounts and securities across their entire book of business.
•Wealth Management: Combines financial planning and portfolio management capabilities to help brokers pick an appropriate mix of investments based on investor needs, perform asset allocation and create customized reports for individual investors or an entire household.
•Market Data: Combines multiple market data and news options, including real-time data feeds from an extensive network of providers, including Thomson Reuters' advanced analytical tools, watch lists, performance summaries and historical company data.
•Transaction & Execution: Provides extensive account management, research, and advanced trading and order management tools so that brokers can access account details directly from the order ticket, as well as place orders from both the quote and position screens. Trading capabilities also are fully integrated with critical operations and risk management tools allowing for improved regulatory oversight.

With Streetscape & Thomson ONE, customer account information will automatically pre-populate and update across the various applications, allowing brokers to realize greater workflow and trading efficiencies. The tight integration provides a comprehensive customer view and also can help to reduce errors by eliminating the need to manually re-enter customer information into separate systems.

To ensure a smooth implementation, National Financial also provides broker/dealer firms and their brokers a comprehensive training and support program. The program includes in-depth training on the workstation's tools and resources, including an online demo, and access to experienced implementation and dedicated support teams.

Streetscape also is integrated with an expansive array of business-building tools, including National Financial's Broker & Advisor Center and Managed Account Solutions® program. Using an open architecture foundation, Streetscape also enables broker/dealer firms to integrate their own or third-party applications and content, such as financial planning tools or customer relationship management (CRM) systems.

"The enhanced offering isn't just another workstation for brokers, it's a new way of conducting business," said Healy. "By integrating Thomson ONE functionality into Streetscape, we have created a workstation tailored to the needs of brokers and their high-net-worth investors."
