BOSTON, December 3, 2008 - In the spirit of the season of giving, the Fidelity^® Charitable Gift Fund is pleased to announce the availability of Gift4Giving^sm, a special eGift that allows recipients to support one or more charities of their choice.

Donors who have an account at the Fidelity Charitable Gift Fund (the Gift Fund) can send friends, family or anyone else a Gift4Giving eGift funded from their account in amounts ranging from $50 to $5,000. There is no fee to send the eGift and recipients are notified via email. Gift4Giving recipients may then recommend gifts via the Gift Fund Web site (charitablegift.org) to the charities of their choice.

As an alternative to giving traditional holiday gifts, Gift4Giving eGifts are a practical way to inspire others to give by making it easy for recipients to support charities that are in need now more than ever. Gift4Giving eGifts are also a great way to celebrate other important occasions such as birthdays, anniversaries or weddings.

The purpose of the Gift Fund is to further the American tradition of philanthropy by providing programs that make charitable giving simple and effective. As of Sept. 30, 2008, more than 52,000 donors have recommended grants totaling more than $8 billion to over 122,000 nonprofit organizations nationwide since the Gift Fund's inception.
