National Financial Appoints Jody Meth To Lead Product Management & Development Efforts

Meth Continues Focus on Delivering Leading-Edge Products
Designed to Help Broker/Dealers Drive Growth

BOSTON, October 12, 2006 - As it continues to strengthen its position as a leading provider of integrated brokerage solutions to retail and institutional broker/dealers, National Financial, a Fidelity Investments company, today announced that Jody Meth has joined the firm as executive vice president of product management and development. Meth brings 25 years of securities industry experience to National Financial, including responsibility for product management functions, as well as operations, sales and client service.

In this role, Meth will lead National Financial's extensive product management efforts. She will have a particular focus on expanding the firm's product development and support efforts to more closely align with each client's needs, as well as furthering the firm's best practices in deploying new products. She also will ensure that product development efforts are appropriately integrated with Streetscape®, National Financial's powerful workstation, and will continue establishing strategic relationships with third party alliances, such as Envestnet and Reuters, to offer broker/dealers access to technology, products and services. Meth will report to Norman R. Malo, president and chief executive officer of National Financial.

Meth joins National Financial from JPMorgan Chase, where she was senior vice president, Worldwide Securities Services. In this position, Meth was responsible for managing a diverse portfolio of asset servicing and institutional trust businesses. Prior to this, Meth was with Bankers Trust Corporation from 1986 to 1999 in a variety of senior product development positions. She began her career with the Federal Reserve Bank of New York, where she held a range of management and analytical positions.
