Fidelity Investments Makes Its Most Popular Online Guidance Tool Available to Millions of Americans

"Portfolio Review" Now Accessible on Fidelity's Public Web Site

BOSTON, July 12, 2005 - As part of its companywide effort to help Americans better plan for retirement and other financial goals, Fidelity Investments is now offering all investors access to one of its most popular online guidance tools. Previously available only to customers, Fidelity's "Portfolio Review" is now accessible to millions of Americans, free of charge, on the company's public Web site at www.fidelity.com. With "Portfolio Review," investors can begin the planning process by evaluating their current investment portfolios and determining how well they are diversified across equity and fixed-income holdings.

Fidelity also announced several enhancements to its Fidelity.com site which make it easier for investors to open an account and invest online, including a new search engine, account application process and interactive account statement, and improved money movement capabilities.

"Whether saving for retirement or a child's education, investors must first fully understand what they currently own in order to develop an investment plan that can help them reach those goals," says Jeffrey R. Carney, president, Fidelity Personal Investments. "More than 500,000 Fidelity customers have used Portfolio Review to quickly and easily evaluate their portfolios. Today, we're extending this tool's powerful capabilities to all Americans, encouraging everyone to take this critical first step, at no additional cost."

Beginning today, all investors can visit Fidelity.com and access the Fidelity Portfolio Review tool, previously only available to customers or through a Fidelity representative. The tool provides detailed portfolio information in an easy-to-read visual format and helps investors define savings goals, choose an appropriate target asset mix, and develop investment strategies. With Portfolio Review, investors can identify potential risks and receive guidance to help them rebalance their portfolio with packaged investment solutions or hypothetical trades and generate an action plan with possible investment strategies. Portfolio Review is offered on Fidelity.com with other guidance tools including Retirement Income Planner and the recently launched Retirement Quick Check.

Other new and enhanced capabilities available to all investors on Fidelity.com include:
New Account Opening Process makes it easier and faster to apply for an account online and track the application. New features also include streamlined processes for account funding and assistance from a Fidelity representative using instant messaging.
New Fidelity.com Search Engine uses the latest "natural language" capabilities to help investors more quickly and easily locate specific information on Fidelity.com.
New Interactive Account Statement provides easy-to-read information on portfolios, transactions and holdings. Investors can customize their statements and access quick links to performance data, quotes and research.
Enhanced Money Movement makes it easier for customers to fund IRAs online by enabling direct contributions between mutual fund and brokerage accounts.
