Account Holders Can Now Easily Monitor, Manage and Research
Their Fidelity Accounts via a New Portfolio Section on Fidelity.com
BOSTON, April 27, 2004 - Fidelity Investments today announced that it is
helping customers make informed investment decisions more quickly and easily by
significantly enhancing its web site, Fidelity.com, with a new Portfolio section.
Customers now have a new, unified view of their Fidelity accounts - brokerage,
Fidelity-sponsored 401(k)s, 529s, IRAs and annuities - seamlessly integrated with tools, analysis and research tailored to customers' Fidelity portfolio.
Although Fidelity customers were previously able to view a list of their Fidelity
accounts on one page, they could only view detailed information for each account one account at a time. With the new Portfolio section on Fidelity.com, Fidelity customers can now view real-time information including cost basis data for their retail brokerage and retirement accounts on a single page with easy access to tools, research and analysis personalized for their portfolio of investments. A multimedia online overview of these new capabilities is available now at www.fidelity.com/redesign.
"Fidelity is committed to delivering technological innovations that offer our
customers faster, easier and more convenient access to investment information, tools and guidance," said Sanjiv Mirchandani, executive vice president, Fidelity Brokerage Services. "Our new, easy-to-use Portfolio section on Fidelity.com is a significant upgrade that gives our customers a more complete picture of their Fidelity accounts, as well as tightly integrated tools and analysis customized to each investor's unique holdings."
Fidelity.com's new Portfolio section, located within the site's Accounts and Trade
section, features a range of new capabilities accessible on easy-to-navigate tabs,
including:
|
| |
|
Portfolio Positions tab offers real-time information on positions in a customer's Fidelity portfolio. Customers can change the way they view positions to
determine how much they hold in a specific investment across their accounts.
For example, customers can quickly evaluate their portfolio's diversification by
reviewing their portfolio's exposure to a particular stock.
|
| |
|
Portfolio Research tab displays performance information for the customer's
individual stock and mutual fund holdings with links to a wealth of third-party
research.
|
| |
|
Statements/Records tab gives customers anytime, online access to important account documents including monthly and quarterly statements, tax forms and trade confirmations - all on a single page.
|
| |
|
Your Profile tab allows customers to easily manage and update personal
information across their Fidelity accounts, including change of address,
beneficiaries and passwords.
|
Later this year, the company plans to introduce further enhancements to the new
Portfolio section, including the ability to view Fidelity and non-Fidelity accounts on the same page and make transactions across a customer's Fidelity portfolio, all within Fidelity.com.
